Andhra Bank Recruitment of Clerical Cadre 2012-13

Andhra Bank invites applications for the Clerical Cadre posts, from Indian citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination for Clerical cadre conducted by IBPS in 2011-12 and have a valid Score card issued by IBPS.
Candidates who have remitted the requisite application fees/ intimation charges and applied earlier in response to the Bank‟s notification dated 21.04.2012 for 600 vacancies and who have not been called for interview can apply against the additional 850 vacancies without remitting the application fees/ intimation charges.  EMOLUMENTS:
 Total emoluments at present works out to approximately Rs.13, 840/- per month in a metropolitan centre. Allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting. The written test will be of Objective type consisting of

(i) General Awareness
(ii) General English
(iii) Quantitative Aptitude
(iv) Reasoning Ability
(v) Marketing Aptitude / Computer Knowledge.

Each Question carry one mark

The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be printed bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.

There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.
The passing marks in each of the tests will be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level. Candidates are also required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate to be considered for interview. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates,
5% relaxation is available thereon. Minimum percentage marks on aggregate will be decided by the bank.

Note:
i) Other detailed information regarding the written examination will be given in the ‘Acquaint Yourself’ booklet, which will be made available to the eligible candidates along with the call letter for the test.
ii) Interviews : Depending upon the number of vacancies only certain number of candidates from amongst those who qualify by ranking high enough in the merit will be called for interview in the ratio of maximum 3 candidates for each vacancy.Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks (to be decided by the bank) in interview to be considered for final selection. 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS category will be available thereon. Final selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the written test and interview taken together.

Selection Process:

The recruitment for the post of Probationary Clerks shall be on State-wise / Union territory-wise basis. Candidates can apply for Probationary Clerk post in ONE STATE / UNION TERRITORY ONLY and should have appeared for the test, from a centre allotted for that particular State / Union Territory in IBPS CWE-CLERK 2011-12. On selection, candidates will be placed anywhere in that state / union territory depending up on Bank’s requirement and candidate has to work in the place of posting for a minimum period of 5 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories, for which no post has been announced, are free to apply against the Un-Reserved Posts, provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned.
Note:
  1. The number of posts and the reservations provided are provisional and may vary according to actual requirement of the Bank, subject to availability of suitable candidates.
  2. 3% of the total posts @ 1% each for VC, HI & OC candidates are reserved for the Persons with Disabilities. It is clarified that it may not be possible to employ Persons with Disabilities in all Offices / Branches of the Bank and they will have to work in the posts identified by the Bank as suitable for them.
  3. As the reservation for PWD candidates are on horizontal basis, the selected candidates will be placed in the appropriate category to which the candidate belongs.

b. Qualification:
  • Passed the Common Written Examination [CWE] for Clerks 2011-12 conducted by IBPS, Mumbai and holding a valid IBPS Score Card of the said CWE. Should have obtained a minimum score or above in each subject and also in the Total Weighted Standard Score as stipulated in the Table-A & B  above for the State / Union Territory, for which candidate is applying;
    AND
  • A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation / SSC (old pattern) / SSLC/ 10th Std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXSM candidates a pass in the aggregate in Matriculation / SSC (old pattern) / SSLC / 10th Std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent.
    OR
  • A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3) pattern / 11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate / Pre-University or any equivalent examination / Diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State Government or U.T. administration. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXSM candidates a pass in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern) / 11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate / Pre-University or any equivalent examination / diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State Government or U.T. administration.
    OR
  • Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

  • Candidate should have proficiency in Official Language of the State / UT for which he / she is applying.
Educational qualification prescribed above is minimum and should have been acquired on or before 01.08.2011. Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted in to percentage and indicate the same in online application, besides indicating the CGPA / OGPA in the on-line application. A copy of “Conversion formula” notified by Board / University for converting Grades in to Percentage has to be submitted at the time of interview.
NOTE:
  1. All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a recognized University / Institution and the result should have been declared on or before 01.08.2011. Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 01.08.2011 has to be submitted at the time of interview.
  2. Calculation of Percentage: The fraction of percentage arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 49.99% will be treated as less than 50%.
    COMPUTER LITERACY: Operating & working knowledge in computer systems shall be an essential qualification, which a candidate must either possess or acquire within 6 months from the date of joining the Bank.
    HINDI KNOWLEDGE: The candidates shall acquire working knowledge of Hindi, if not possessed already, before completion of probationary period.

RECRUITMENT OF -2000- CLERICAL PERSONNEL – PROJECT 2012

Bank of Baroda invites applications for Clerical post from Indian citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination for Clerical cadre conducted by IBPS in 2011 (details of state-wise, category-wise vacancies and cut-off marks as given below) subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria.

SCALE OF PAY: Basic Pay in Time Scale of Rs.7200 – 19300 plus DA, HRA, etc. as per Bipartite Settlement amended from time to time.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: NATIONALITY/ CITIZENSHIP:
A candidate must be either i) a Citizen of India or ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) subject of Bhutan or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the Government of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her.
2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AS ON 01.08.2011 FOR THE ABOVE POST IS PRESCRIBED AS UNDER:
AGE EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT

Should be able to read, write and speak English. Should possess proficiency in the official language of the State/ UT (ability to read, write and speak local/State language) in which they have appeared for the Common Written Examination and in which they have qualified. Should be computer literate (proficient in MS Office Basic Applications).




Note:
1. Degrees obtained from the recognized Universities/Institutes recognized by the Govt. of India only will be considered.
2. The educational qualification prescribed for the post is the minimum.
3. Candidates must specifically indicate the class/division and percentage of marks obtained calculated to the nearest two decimals in the relevant column of the application. Where no percentage of marks is awarded by the University, but only CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage.
4. The result of the qualifying examination, i.e., graduation or equivalent to graduation, as the case may be, should have been announced by the University on or before 01.08.2011.
5. Candidates should have obtained the specified IBPS Score in each test and/ in aggregate in the Common Written Examination conducted for Clerical cadre in 2011. SBI Clerks (Assistant Stenographers) Exam Pattern And Syllabus 2012

The SBI Clerk Entrance Exam is carried out by the State Bank of India. The main aim of this exam is to recruit candidates into the clerical posts. The selection of the candidates is done by way of a written test and an interview. Only those candidates who clear the entrance test with high scores will be asked to appear for the interview. Depending on the candidate’s presentation in the interview, they will be chosen for the job.
The minimum qualification that is needed by a person to appear for this exam is a pass in class 12. Those students who have finished their graduation are suitable to apply for the exam too. They ought to have above 60 percent marks as to apply for the exam.
Syllabus for the SBI Clerical Entrance Exam
The syllabus for the SBI Clerk Entrance Exam is based completely on the syllabus of class 10+2. It will be from different boards like State, ISE and CBSE. The candidates must be acquainted with the syllabus of class 10+1 and 10+2.

Question pattern for the SBI Clerical Written Exam
The Bank Clerk Examination will comprise of 4 subjects generally. They are:
  • Test of Reasoning
  • Numerical Ability
  • Test of English Language
  • Clerical Aptitude
But, according to the new scheme that has been announced by the State Bank of India, there will be 6 tests. They include:
  • Computer /Marketing
  • General Awareness
  • General English
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning Ability
Out of this, General English is a mandatory subject. The exam will have duration of 140 minutes. The questions will be of the objective type with multiple choices. This method will permit the students to choose the accurate answer from the set that is provided to them. Negative marking is there in the written test.  For every incorrect answer given by the students, 1/4th marks will be taken away from them. Because of this, the students need to be very careful before attempting a question whose answer they are not sure of. Every aspirant of the SBI Clerk Exam should have passed in each one of the objective tests individually and they should get a score of more than 40 percent marks on an aggregate basis.
