State Bank of India, India’s Largest Commercial Bank and a thoughtPolicy making, is looking for qualified and experienced candidate for (CEA) on a contractual basis at its Corporate Centre in Mumbai.

Who is Chief Economic Advisor(CEA)

The CEA will be responsible for leading a team at Economic Research Department (ERD) at the Bank’s Corporate Centre, Mumbai. The official will be the key resource person providing strategic inputs on various National and Global economic developments to the Top Management of the Bank and will also be required to contribute to formulation of strategy and policy. This is a challenging position with the opportunity to play a leading role in policy formulation, analysis and communicating the Bank’s thinking to the outside world. The person needs to be conversant with banking/ financial scenario.

Qualifications:

o Masters level degree in Economics with specialization in Monetary/Financial Economics or Econometrics.
o ADoctorate inMoney/Banking/International Finance will be an additional qualification.
o The minimum age limit is45years with amaximum of62years.
o Minimum 12years work experience as an Economist inaCommercial Bank/Financial Institution
or other reputed Corporate Organisation or Teaching Experience as lecturer/professor in a
college/university orcombined experience as an Economist and inteaching.
o Should possess excellent communication skills supported byparticipation invarious economic fora.
o Contribution toleading publications will be an added advantage.

TERMS OFOFFER:

o The position is Contractual. The term ofoffice ofthe holder ofthe post shall be 3 years initially, extendable atthe discretion ofthe Bank.
o The compensation package shall be based on experience and would be around ~50 lacs per annum, but notalimiting factorforthe right candidate.
